ND awarded $1.44M for electric vehicle charging stations

The U.S. Department of Transportation’s Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) awarded a $1.44 million Advanced Transportation and Congestion Management Technologies Deployment (ATCMTD) grant to the North Dakota Department of Transportation for the Electric Vehicle User Range Anxiety Solution for Rural North Dakota Project. The project will use the grant to install additional electric vehicle (EV) charging stations.

North Dakota DOT’s Electric Vehicle User Range Anxiety Solution for Rural North Dakota Project aims to support the department’s goal of installing 500,000 electric vehicle charging stations by 2030. The project will use the funding to install additional charging stations to fill in gaps and reduce EV owner range anxiety.
