Minot AFB airman’s photo selected ‘Top Shot’

MINOT AIR FORCE BASE — Senior Airman Michael Richmond’s photo of a Minot Air Force Base B-52 recently was Airman Magazine’s “Airman Top Shot.” Richmond is a photojournalist with the base’s 5th Bomb Wing’s Public Affairs Office. He took the photo on a rainy day in early July. Each week Airman Magazine, the official magazine of the U.S. Air Force, has voters pick a "top shot” photo from the Air Force’s week in photos. Photos are placed on Facebook, where they are voted on for the “top shot” honor. Facebook users like, comment and share their favorite photo and the one with the most engagements is selected. Richmond’s photo also became the header for the Eighth Air Force Facebook page. Richmond, who said he’s “a military brat,” has lived in numerous places. He has been at Minot AFB for nearly two years.
