Man sentenced for possession of stolen U-Haul van

Larry Cartwright, 39, Minot, was sentenced on Tuesday to 360 days in jail, all suspended but the 59 days he has already served in the Ward County Jail, and two years of supervised probation for possession of a stolen U-Haul van on June 5 in Minot.

Judge Richard Hagar also ordered him to pay $775 in court costs and restitution yet to be determined.

He was also sentenced to 30 days in jail, with credit for 30 days served, for Class B misdemeanor disorderly conduct on April 29. He also ordered Cartwright to pay $1,252.38 restitution and $250 in court costs and to stay away from a certain address.

If Cartwright successfully completes probation, the charge will appear on his record as a Class A misdemeanor.
