Jesse Ray Rittenbach, 41, Minot, is charged in district court in Ward County with Class B felony burglary, Class C felony surreptitious behavior-peeping and Class C felony trespass on July 10.

According to court documents, Rittenbach made a phone call to a woman, pretended to be her ex-boyfriend and convinced the woman he was that man. The woman gave Rittenbach her address and said she would leave the front door unlocked. Rittenbach then allegedly entered the home while the woman was in the shower and went into the bathroom. The woman, who did not know Rittenbach, told Rittenbach to leave and later reported the incident to police.

Rittenbach is on the state sex offender registry for a past offense.
