The Minot Area Council of the Arts (MACA) announces a partnership with the Domestic Violence Crisis Center and Independence Inc., two local non-profit organizations.
The Domestic Violence Crisis center is looking for new women’s pajamas of all sizes with tags, and Independence Inc. is seeking new towels.
Thursdays Downtown being held tonight will have a canopy tent outside the MACA office near the stage, collecting new towels and new women's pajamas with the tags.
The event will be from 5:30 - 8:30 p.m. with free live music provided by Jessie Veeder and Chris Basden. There will be arts and craft vendors, food trucks, bounce houses and axe throwing.
"Hearing that these two important organizations within our community needed supplies to help in their ability to move people into better, more independent living situations showed us we had the opportunity to help," said Justin Anderson, MACA executive director.
