Group to hold presentation on ‘critical race theory’

American Experiment North Dakota will hold an event entitled “Education Not Indoctrination: Critical Race Theory and the Miseducation of America’s Youth” today at the High Third Restaurant, 7 1st St. SE in Minot.

The cost for the event is $10 per person. Doors open at 11:30 a.m. A presentation will be given by Catin Wigfall at noon. Lunch will be served.

Bill Walsh said American Experiment Minnesota is trying to start a North Dakota branch of the think tank and held two previous presentations in Fargo and Grand Forks.

Walsh said last week that North Dakota schools might not be teaching “critical race theory” in its schools but the event will present material on the concept and what is being taught in school districts elsewhere in the country. The group describes critical race theory as a ” ‘woke’ political movement” and a “leftist, anti-American agenda that radically changes how children learn about (the) country.”
