Gift sponsors Farmer’s Market at Discovery Center

The Magic City Discovery Center Board of Directors has received a gift of $100,000 for sponsorship of the Farmer’s Market exhibit in honor of James Lowe, American Institute of Floral Designers, Lowe’s Garden Center, Minot.

The Farmer’s Market is an exhibit that features North Dakota produce and products. There will be flowers, produce, honey, dairy and bakery products for children to purchase in this pretend Farmer’s Market.

“James loved children, learning and plants,” said Phil and Karol Lowe. “Our hearts are full knowing that the Farmer’s Market at our children’s museum is dedicated to James. It will be a learning center that will create an opportunity for everyone who visits to play, learn, create and build everlasting memories.”

“James Lowe was known for his beautiful floral creations and with this exhibit, including a garden center, his joy in working with flowers will continue to inspire. We are deeply thankful for this contribution.” said Board President Karen Rasmusson.

Construction of the 28,000-square-foot building on North Hill is under way, and grand opening will take place later this year.

Starting at $2.99/week.
