The Minot Fire Department responded late Monday evening to 511 7th St. NE for a house fire with “flames showing” as reported by a neighbor.

According to information from the City of Minot, the first fire units on scene found the single-story residence with fire coming from the front door area and heavy smoke inside the structure. Fire crews made an initial fire attack and completed a primary search of the residence; no occupants were found inside the home.

Crews extinguished the fire, overhauled the scene and had utilities shut off.

The fire remains under investigation.
