Minot man sentenced for criminal trespass

Joseph Brown, 53, Minot, was sentenced on Thursday to five years in prison, with a requirement that he first serve two years, followed by two years of supervised probation for Class C felony criminal trespass on Feb. 14, 2021. Judge Doug Mattson also ordered him to complete a course for domestic violence offenders and pay $1,025 in court costs.

Brown received concurrent sentences for Class C felony criminal mischief, Class C felony theft and Class B misdemeanor criminal mischief charges and, in another case, for Class C felony violation of a domestic violence protection order, his second offense, and Class A misdemeanor violation of a disorderly conduct restraining order, both committed on April 30.
