Minot High FCCLA takes part in state conference

The Minot High School FCCLA members participated in the state FCCLA conference in Bismarck April 10-11.
At the awards ceremony, Kaedin Dewitz and Thomas Drago (third place) received silver medals in the STAR event Culinary Arts Cooking Challenge. In Job Interview, Gwen Jarvis received a gold, making her eligible to attend nationals this summer to compete, and Leah Calloway earned a silver medal. On-Line results had Drago, Oscar Hultz and Jonas Bubach each receiving gold medals.
Jarvis and Halia Aldrich won prizes in Kahoot. Mary-Beth Gross was judged in Sports Nutrition and Jenny Jarvis was judged in Interpersonal Communications.
Kinley Sione and Aldrich were voting delegates for bylaw changes and new state officers.
Senior Awards from Minot High included Estevan Aguilar, George Culp, Liam Geyer, Dewitz, Drago, Bubach, Calloway and Sione.
FCCLA member Alex Randash also attended the conference.
Because of the blizzard, the conference was cut short by one day. Terrance Tally, keynote speaker, talked about "never giving up."
