Berthold/Carpio police seize meth, stolen trailer, after traffic stop

Roger Wayne Fowler, 34, Emerado, is charged in district court in Ward County with Class B felony possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine and Class C felony possession of stolen property. His co-defendant, Larry Lee Cartwright, 40, Minot, is charged in district court in Ward County with Class C felony possession of stolen property and, in another case, with Class B misdemeanor driving with a suspended driver’s license.

Both men made initial on the charges on Monday before Judge Todd Cresap.

According to a press release issued by Berthold/Carpio Police Chief Al Schmidt, the trailer, reported stolen by a dealership in Minot, and 12 ounces of suspected liquid methamphetamine were seized following a traffic stop in Carpio Sunday. According to Schmidt, Fowler and Cartwright were allegedly in Carpio to attempt to sell the trailer with a fictitious title application.
