Snow struggles

Shalom Baer Gee/MDN Men help push a local woman’s car through the snow on Second Avenue Northeast on North Hill in Minot Friday. Aimee Wesley was heading to the hospital, where her daughter was in labor, when she got stuck. Doug Pfau stopped to help. Shane Jenson, James Hines, one other Good Samaritan (not pictured), and a friendly black lab joined in the efforts. Before long, Wesley was on her way to the hospital for her grandchild’s birth.
Shalom Baer Gee/MDN A semi-tractor trailer was stuck on 36th Avenue Northwest on North Hill Friday morning, blocking a lane of traffic after around a half-foot of snow fell on the city the night before. At 8 a.m. on Friday, Austin Kraklau of the North Central Research Extension Center, south of Minot, recorded 3.5 inches of snow and 0.36 inches of moisture in the past 24-hour period.
