Cat dies, mobile home destroyed in fire Saturday in Minot

Fire destroyed a mobile home in northwest Minot Sunday morning, according to the City of Minot.

The Minot Fire Department was dispatched to Northland Mobile Home Park Lot 83 at 11:24 a.m. for reports of a structure fire.

Upon arrival, firefighters found flames exiting the roof of the mobile home. Fire department personnel extinguished the blaze by 12:17 p.m. One resident was home at the time of the fire and had safely evacuated the structure when firefighters arrived on scene.

The resident was treated on scene for minor smoke inhalation. A pet cat died in the fire; there were no other injuries in the incident.

Three engines, one ladder truck, and one command vehicle responded to the fire.
