EPPING — The North Dakota Oil and Gas Division was notified of a release occurring on Thursday at the CPEUSC Sonny 25 saltwater disposal, about 11 miles northwest of Epping.

Crescent Point Energy reported that 33,600 gallons of produced water were released due to an alarm failure. At the time of reporting all of the produced water had been recovered. Product was contained on-site. A state inspector has been to the location and will monitor any additional cleanup required.
