Edward Sandoval Jr., Minot, charged with child abuse

Edward Sandoval Jr., 19, Minot, has been charged in district court in Minot with shaking and striking a small child and fracturing her skull, allegedly because she would not stop crying, according to a probable cause affidavit filed with the court. He is charged in district court in Minot with Class A felony child abuse.

According to a probable cause affidavit filed with the court, the hospital reported the incident on Dec. 9 when the child was brought there for treatment.

Sandoval was scheduled to make an initial appearance on the charge on Monday.
