Blake Boatwright, Minot, charged with intent to deliver meth, fentanyl

Blake Nathanul Boatwright, 30, Minot, has been charged in district court in Minot with Class B felony possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine and Class B felony possession with intent to deliver fentanyl at the Super 8 Motel in Minot on Dec. 3 as well as with Class C felony felon in possession of a firearm.

He was scheduled to make an initial appearance on the charges on Monday.

According to a probable cause affidavit filed with the court, Boatwright had outstanding warrants for his arrest in another case and had not been in contact with his probation officer. Minot police went looking for him and learned that he had been staying at Room 220 at the Super 8. Police searched the room and found drugs and assorted drug paraphernalia. Witnesses told them of heavy foot traffic going and coming from Boatwright’s room that they thought indicated he might be selling narcotics. They later tracked down Boatwright and placed him under arrest. Additional drugs were found with Boatwright when he was arrested, including about 7 grams of fentanyl powder, about 4.3 grams of suspected fentanyl pills, eight grams of methamphetamine, and less than a gram of marijuana. Also found in his possession was ammunition.
