The annual 4-H Multi-County Project Exploration Day, previously known as Activity Day, was recently held at the North Dakota State Fair Center in Minot.
At this event 4-H members have the opportunity for hands-on learning. The projects youth work on may be used as exhibits they can bring to their county fair, 4-H Achievement Days, and ultimately, the North Dakota State Fair.
There were 23 activities for the 4-H members to choose from: air rifle, archery, bee and pollination houses, how to pin insects, bristlebots, Cloverbuds (ages five to seven), finger knitting, farm safety, loopy yarn cowls/scarfs, macrame keychains, marshmallow guns, photography basics, advanced photography, smart phone photography, rabbits, rope baskets, scrapbooks, card making, hydro-dipped tumblers, wood-burned owls, and four different sessions of woodworking.
