MINOT AIR FORCE BASE – Minot Air Force Base is conducting flying operations in support of U.S. Strategic Command’s Global Thunder 22, an exercise which provides training opportunities to enhance readiness and ensure a safe, secure, ready and reliable strategic deterrent force with a specific focus on nuclear readiness.

As in previous years, Global Thunder 22 includes an increase in bomber aircraft flights throughout the exercise, including multiple sortie generations in short windows of time. Local communities may notice heavier than normal bomber take-offs throughout the duration of the exercise.
