Library cancels children’s programming for the remainder of the year

The Minot Public Library has cancelled its in-person children’s programs for the remainder of2021 due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, according to information provided by the City of Minot.

The final in-person children’s event will be the Halloween Puppet Show on Saturday, Oct. 30 from 10:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. Masks are strongly encouraged for anyone attending the puppet show.

Weekly take-and-make craft kits will be available at the Children’s Library front desk beginning Monday, Nov. 1.

“We are hopeful we will be able to restart our children’s programs in 2022,” Janet Anderson, library director, said. “We understand this may be frustrating, but we are doing what we believe is necessary to keep our staff and our patrons safe.”
