Jordan Rickenbaker, Minot Air Force Base, charged with luring a minor by computer

Jordan Rashon Rickenbaker, 23, Minot Air Force Base, is charged in district court in Ward County with Class C felony luring a minor by computer.

According to a probable cause affidavit filed with the court, Rickenbaker engaged in sexually explicit chats last year with a 15-year-old girl who had told him she was 16. Rickenbaker allegedly also tried to persuade the girl to sneak out of her house and meet him.

Rickenbaker told police he deleted the social messaging app after he realized the girl was serious about being underage and the girl told police they never met in person. According to the affidavit, Rickenbaker allegedly continued to exchange messages with the girl for 11 days after she told him she was 16. Rickenbaker was 22 at the time of the conversations he had with the girl in October 2020. The girl’s mother wanted to press charges against Rickenbaker.
