Criminal vehicular injury charge dismissed against Travis Bercier

A Class C felony vehicular injury charge has been dismissed against Travis John Bercier, 45, of Nampa, Idaho.

According to court documents, the state filed to dismiss the felony charge in district court because Bercier had pleaded guilty in Minot Municipal Court to a lesser charge of Class B misdemeanor driving while intoxicated.

In Minot Municipal Court, Bercier was ordered to complete 20 hours of community service, obtain a chemical dependency evaluation, attend a victim impact panel, pay $2,346.23 in restitution and $775 in court costs.

Bercier had been charged in district court with driving drunk and striking another vehicle in May. According to court documents in that case, the driver of the other vehicle was checked out at the hospital after the accident for a possible injury.
