Coleton Morse, Burlington, charged with stalking girl

Coleton Leo Thomas Morse, 20, Burlington, is charged in district court in Minot with stalking a girl, a Class A misdemeanor.

According to a probable cause affidavit filed with the court, the girl told police that she has told Morse to leave her alone and he is only an acquaintance. Morse allegedly has called her multiple times per day and sent up to 40 Facebook messages to her each day. He used her social media location to locate her. He allegedly told her that “I have psychic powers and know where you are at all times.” He had driven by her residence up to 50 times a day and honks his horn, screeches his tires or yells her name out the window. He has allegedly also assaulted her physically, grabbing her by the wrist on one occasion and leaving bruises and pinning her physically against a car for up to half an hour on another occasion. Morse allegedly told someone else that the girl is “his” and he is going to “have her” even though she is dating somebody else. The girl told police that she is now afraid to leave her house because of Morse’s actions.

Morse is scheduled to make an initial appearance on the charge on Wednesday before Judge Todd Cresap.
