Darryl Gardner, Minot, charged with pointing gun at neighbor

Darryl Gardner, 60, Minot, is accused of brandishing a firearm at a neighbor who was moving into a neighboring apartment when the other man refused to identify himself on Monday evening.

Gardner is charged with Class C felony terrorizing in district court in Minot.

According to the probable cause affidavit filed with the court, the neighbor told police that he told Gardner he did not need to identify himself, which upset Gardner, and Gardner kept asking him who he was. At one point, Gardner was sitting outside his apartment, with a gun on his hip, which Gardner then pointed at the other man. The neighbor refused to identify himself again, then went into his apartment and called 911. Gardner denied that he pointed a gun at his neighbor.

Gardner was scheduled to make an initial appearance on the charge on Tuesday before Judge Stacy Louser.
