Dejuan Thornton, Madison Endresen charged with intent to deliver fentanyl

Dejuan Ranier Thornton, 41, and his girlfriend, Madison Lynn Endresen, 24, are each charged in district court in Minot with Class B felony possession with intent to deliver fentanyl and two counts of Class C felony possession of drug paraphernalia.

According to a probable cause affidavit filed with the court, the Ward County Narcotics Task Force searched Endresen’s apartment because she is on probation. The search turned up a scale with drug residue, Thornton’s personal documents, and a cup lid with about 3 grams of fentanyl in a kitchen cabinet. Endresen’s phone was recovered from Thornton’s property at the Ward County Jail and the phone contained messages from multiple people about buying drugs from Endresen and Thornton. Correctional officers also found a foil packet as well as multiple bindles concealed inside the finger of a gray plastic glove that contained a combined 3.3 grams of fentanyl in Thornton’s property at the jail. Also found in the apartment was foil with burned residue, straws with residue, and Narcan, a drug that can be used to temporarily reverse the effects of a drug overdose.

Both Thornton and Endresen were scheduled to make initial appearances on the charges on Thursday.
