Jason Ellingson, Doddi Erickson, charged with possession of stolen Honda Ruckus and stolen rifle parts

Jason Ray Ellingson, 42, and Doddi Ruth Erickson, 29, are charged in district court in Minot with Class C felony possession of a stolen Honda Ruckus scooter, Class A misdemeanor possession of altered property, and Class B misdemeanor possession of stolen AR rifle parts in October 2020.

According to a probable cause affidavit filed with the court, police had responded to an address in Ruthville to investigate a domestic violence complaint. A woman had complained that Erickson’s brother, Scott Ramon Parizek, 31, had assaulted her earlier that day. Police made contact with Parizek, who initially gave them a fake name. He was detained. As he was on probation, his probation officer gave officers permission to search the trailer. The search of the trailer turned up drugs and drug paraphernalia in the common area of the residence. Also found was a stolen AR-15, valued at up to $400, a box of 9 mm ammunition, a locked black safe, and a stolen Honda Ruckus. Both the AR-15 and the Honda Ruckus had been stolen from Minot. The Honda Ruckus, which was valued at $2,749 had been repainted and its identification number had been ground off the frame.

Parizek told police he was homeless and had been staying with his sister and her boyfriend, Ellingson. He admitted that the drugs and drug paraphernalia were his but denied having anything to do with the stolen firearm or the stolen Ruckus. He was not charged in connection with the possession of stolen property.

Ellingson made an initial appearance on the charge against him on Monday before Judge Stacy Louser, who set bond at $2,500, with a requirement that he pay 10 percent of that.

Erickson was arrested on Sunday with Ellingson but bonded out before she made an initial appearance.
