Police identify murder victim in burning car as Domonique Kelly

Authorities have identified a murder victim found in a burning car on June 3 as Domonique Kelly, 33, of Minot.

Minot police said the positive identification was made by the North Dakota State Crime Lab and the North Dakota State Forensic Examiner’s Office.

Kelly has been identified as the victim of a homicide but no arrests have been made and no suspects have been publicly identified.

Her family has been notified. Police are asking anyone who had contact with her on June 3 or before to call the police department at 852-0111. Police have also asked for help from the Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms to provide technical, forensics, and investigative assistance.

Police are actively looking for two vehicle that are associated with this case. A black 2017 Yukon Denali and a gray 2013 Chrysler 300. Both vehicles are reported as stolen. The Yukon Denali has North Dakota plates: 493CCV. The vehicle has black rims, blacked-out GMC decals and purple sticker decals.

People with any information about the whereabouts of either of the vehicles are asked to call police or Crime Stoppers at 852-7463. Callers can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward for information.
