B-52 ‘flying’ again

Submitted Photo A B-52 model is back on its pedestal as of Friday at Dakota Territory Air Museum in Minot after repairs. It had been damaged by the wind. Gefroh Electric and Curt Saari provided the crane. Museum volunteers from the left are Larry Linrud, Saari, Darrell Kerzmann and Dave Smith. Austin Greenheck, Logan Pietsch and Don Larson, president of the air museum board of directors, also were involved in the project. On the day before the 70th anniversary of D-Day, June 5, 2014, the Minot Area Chamber of Commerce’s Military Affairs Committee held a dedication for the B-52 model displayed in front of the museum. The model is a token of the community’s appreciation to the Air Force.
