Ashton Taylor Bercier, 23, Minot, was sentenced on Thursday to 360 days in jail, all suspended but the 53 days he has already served, and 18 months of unsupervised probation for breaking into a motor vehicle and stealing a skeleton face mask from the car on Nov. 28, 2020.

Judge Stacly Louser also ordered Bercier to have no contact with the victim and to pay $525 in court costs.

The Class C felony charge will be reduced to a Class A misdemeanor if he successfully completes probation.
