Friends of the Library holding book sale

The Friends of the Minot Public Library, a nonprofit group, is hosting its first book sale since September 2019.

The book sale is open to the public today from noon-9 p.m.; Friday from 9 a.m.-6 p.m.; and Saturday from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. No prices are assigned to any of the items in the “Hidden Treasures” book sale room; shoppers are simply encouraged to pay whatever they can.

“We are extremely fortunate to have a Friends group that helps fund programming and book purchases for the Minot Public Library among many other services,” said Janet Anderson, library director.

Items available at the sale include books, magazines, puzzles, DVDs, CDs, and more. The majority of the items are received as donations from the public.

Anderson said they currently are overwhelmed with donated items and hope to find “new homes” for all of them.

All proceeds from this book sale go to the Friends of the Library group.
