Tyrone Leon Youngbear, 33, Minot, who is already a convicted sex offender due to a 2008 offense in Pierce County, is charged in district court in Minot with Class B felony promotion of a sexual performance by a minor and 10 counts of Class C felony possession of child pornography. He also allegedly fled when authorities came to arrest him on the charges.,

In another case, Youngbear is charged with Class C felony failure to register as a sex offender.

He made an initial appearance on Monday before Judge Richard Hagar, who set bond at $100,000 cash or corporate surety, ordered him to have no contact with minors and not to use internet capable devices.

A preliminary hearing in the case is scheduled for May 6.
