Magic City Figure Skating Club’s Synchro Teams to hold Annual Trivia Night

The Magic City Figure Skating Club’s Synchro Teams will be hosting its annual Trivia Night on Saturday, March 6, at 6 p.m. at the Moose Lodge in Minot. This year’s trivia theme is TV Sitcoms.

Trivia Night is one of the major fundraisers for Magic City Synchro. The event is for adults only, ages 21 and up and includes eight rounds of trivia and light appetizers. Costumes and table decorations are encouraged with prizes being awarded for both. There is also a silent auction, bottle pull and 50/50 raffle.

Registration can be done online by going to the event page on Facebook at MCFSC Trivia Night. Teams that are registered by Sunday, Feb. 28, will receive a free mulligan. More mulligans can also be secured by bringing non-perishable food items to the event.

Synchronized skating is a team sport where a group of eight or more skate together in sync while performing difficult, required elements. The sport is characterized by teamwork, speed, intricate formations and challenging step sequences. The variety and difficulty of elements require that each team member is a highly skilled individual skater. The Magic City Figure Skating Club is home to two synchro teams, The Magic Laces and The Magic Picks.

“Magic City Figure Skating has a long line of Synchronized Skating teams dating back to the late 70s.” said Program Director Barb Kohlman. “It can be an expensive sport with outfitting the team, travel, ice time and coaching. Trivia Night helps to offset some of those costs to make it more affordable for skaters to be a part of a team.”

Starting at $2.99/week.
