Jesse Rittenbach, Minot, sentenced to 4 days time served, 2 years probation, for stealing trailer

Jesse Ray Rittenbach, 39, Minot, was sentenced on Wednesday to 360 days in jail, all suspended but the four days he has already served, and two years of unsupervised probation for stealing a trailer in March 2020.

Judge Richard Hagar also ordered Rittenbach to pay $1,100 in court costs and to have no contact with the victim.

According to court documents, Rittenbach admitted to taking the trailer from southeast Minot and to using it to haul multiple vehicles from the Mohall area. The trailer had an estimated value of $5,475. A tire was damaged and the trailer was missing lug nuts, estimated to cost about $140. A Minot police officer notified the Ward County Sheriff’s Office that he had seen the stolen trailer outside Rittenbach’s residence.

In another case, Rittenbach is scheduled to go to trial June 22 on two Class C felony charges of luring a minor by computer and promoting obscenity to a minor. He is alleged to have sent a sexually explicit photo of himself to a 15-year-old girl via Facebook Messenger in April 2020 and to have asked the girl to send him nude pictures.
