Steven Kadoun, Minot, sentenced to 360 days probation for harassing emergency personnel

Steven Jay Kadoun, 56, Minot, was sentenced on Monday to 360 days supervised probation and fined $325 for making multiple calls to Minot Central Campus on Jan. 8 and Jan. 9 to complain that people in a house were selling drugs.

Kadoun made 10 calls on Jan. 8 and 21 calls on Jan. 9 and continued calling even after police told him to stop.

He pleaded guilty to a Class A misdemeanor in district court in Minot.

Kadoun had a prior 2018 conviction for harassing emergency personnel. Kadoun made 15 calls to Minot police on June 3, 2018. He didn’t think police were responding quickly enough to his complaint that someone had damaged his window screen. He also swore at officers on that occasion. For that offense, he was fined $500.
