Minot AFB officials release information on dorm inspection

MINOT AIR FORCE BASE – During an unannounced health and welfare dorm inspection at Minot Air Force Base on Saturday, unauthorized alcohol was discovered but no drugs or guns were found, according to Minot AFB officials in a statement released on Tuesday.

“A small amount of airmen were apprehended by base Security Forces and released to their chain-of-command. Further details about the incident are being withheld for investigation purposes, as is standard in these types of events,” the statement said.

The statement also said dorm inspections occur periodically and are conducted to ensure security and good order and discipline.
