Matthew Dylan Park, 29, and Samantha Ann Park, 27, Minot, are charged with endangering children by exposing them to drugs on Dec. 31 at a southeast Minot apartment.

Each are charged in district court in Minot with three counts of Class C felony child endangerment, Class A misdemeanor possession of methamphetamine, Class A misdemeanor possession of heroin, Class A misdemeanor possession of five or fewer Schedule III pills, Class C felony possession of drug paraphernalia, and Class A misdemeanor attempted fraudulent practices in urine testing.

According to a probable cause affidavit filed with the court, the Ward County Narcotics Task Force had obtained a warrant for the apartment located at 501 10th Avenue SE, No. 8. They knocked on the door and forced entry when no one answered. The Parks were present along with the children. A search of the apartment turned up drugs and paraphernalia within reach of the children. Also found was a Quick Fix box that contained a bottle of fake urine. Officers contacted Ward County Social Services about the children and arrested the Parks and took them to jail.

A preliminary hearing in the case is scheduled for March 11 before Judge Todd Cresap.
