Bureau of Land Management seeks input on proposed lease parcels

BILLINGS, Mont. – The Bureau of Land Management has opened a 15-day public scoping period for nominated oil and gas lease parcels located in North Dakota and Montana. The scoping period runs through Feb. 4 and is intended to solicit public input on proposed lease parcels for the June 29 lease sale, including the preliminary recommendations and stipulations.

Parcels proposed for inclusion on the June sale are located in McKenzie, Mountrail and Williams counties in North Dakota.

Updated information on the sale and information on how to submit electronic comments is available online at https://eplanning.blm.gov. Search using the NEPA number: DOI-BLM-MT-0000-2021-0002-EA. Comments can also be mailed to the Bureau of Land Management, Montana-Dakotas State Office, Branch of Fluid Minerals, Attn: Christine Cimiluca, 5001 Southgate Drive, Billings, Montana.
