Jill Schramm/MDN Ward County Librarian Kerrianne Boetcher holds the 2020 Wheelie Award for the Ward County Bookmobile from the North Dakota State Library. This is the third year in a row that Ward County has received the award based on its overall performance in circulation per capita, stops made and miles traveled. North Dakota ranks third in the nation for bookmobiles per capita, with 10 bookmobiles serving 45% of the state’s population. In 2019, North Dakota bookmobiles traveled 70,942 miles, served 15 counties and made 3,358 stops. The latest Wheelie award will be displayed in the Ward County Bookmobile.
