Amanda Oster, Minot, charged with intent to deliver methamphetamine
Amanda Margaret Oster, 32, Minot, is charged in district court in Minot with Class B felony intent to deliver methamphetamine, two counts of Class C felony possession of drug paraphernalia, and Class C felony maintaining a premises for the sale of controlled substances on Dec. 29.
According to a probable cause affidavit filed with the court, a Ward County Narcotics Task Force officer told other task force officers on the afternoon of Dec. 29 that he had seen Eric Rouse, 34, a known fugitive, standing outside of Oster’s trailer at 2100 3rd Street NW, No. 524, and he believed Rouse had gone inside. The task force officers conducted surveillance outside the trailer. They saw three people approach the trailer, knock on the front door, go inside and then emerge five minutes later. This, they believed, was a sign of narcotics trafficking and Oster is a known user of drugs. Oster’s probation officer gave permission to search her residence. The task force entered the trailer and found several known drug users inside. Some of them were sitting around a table that had drug paraphernalia on it. In an open kitchen cupboard, an officer found a dinner plate with several razor blades and approximately four grams of methamphetamine upon it. In Oster’s bedroom, the task force officers found a digital scale with suspected methamphetamine on it. Another scale with suspected methamphetamine residue was found on a table near the couch in the living room.
A preliminary hearing in the case is scheduled for March 18 before Judge Doug Mattson.
