Robert Jose Aragon, 41, Minot, is charged in district court in Minot with seven counts of Class C felony child abuse or neglect and his co-defendant, Nina Charlayne Aragon, 43, Minot, is charged with three counts of Class C felony child abuse or neglect.

According to a probable cause affidavit filed with the court, two children reported that Nina Aragon had struck them using objects and left marks on them and that Robert Aragon had not prevented the abuse. The Aragons had also allegedly fought physically in front of the children and made threats against each other. Robert Aragon also allegedly verbally and emotionally abused the girls and on one occasion threatened to physically harm them. The incidents are alleged to have occurred this year.

Both Aragons were scheduled to make initial appearances on Thursday before Judge Todd Cresap.
