November brought higher than average temps

The average temperature in November was higher than the long-term average for that month, according to Austin Kraklau of the North Central Research Extension Center south of Minot.

“This past month of November, we had an average temperature of 31.0 degrees which was 3.7 degrees above the 113-year long-term average of 27.3 degrees,” said Kraklau.

He said the lowest temperature of the month was 6 degrees on Nov. 10 and 11. The high was 72 degrees on Nov. 6. The total moisture for November was 0.25 inches “which is 0.5 inches below the long-term average of 0.75 inches,” Kraklau said.

For the rest of the week through Sunday, the National Weather Service forecasts sunny or mostly sunny weather with the majority of the daytime temperatures in the 40s.
