The Minot Police Department and the North Dakota Fraternal Order of Police-Souris Valley Regional Lodge No. 7 is hosting the fourth annual Stuff-a-Squad Toy Drive from noon to 4 p.m. Dec. 6 at the Walmart Supercenter in Minot.

Members of the public are invited to purchase and donate a new unwrapped toy to local law enforcement officers who will use them to “stuff a squad.” The donations are divided among The Salvation Army and Community Action Partnership who invite qualifying families to select items to provide area children presents for the holidays.

The generosity of shoppers during previous years’ Stuff a Squad events in Minot have yielded enough donations to fill as many as six patrol vehicles full of toys for children who might not have otherwise received presents over the holiday season, according to Minot police.
