Burglary charge against Casey Lemon, Minot, dismissed

Casey Blaise Jay Lemon, 39, Minot, received a deferred imposition of sentence on Thursday for possession of methamphetamine on June 28. The state dismissed a Class C felony burglary charge against him under the terms of a plea deal. Court records show that Lemon was given credit for eight days he already served in jail. Judge Stacy Louser also ordered him to pay $325 in court costs. If he successfully complies with all conditions, the A misdemeanor meth possession charge will be dismissed.

Lemon and Michele Lee Pyle had each been charged with burglarizing a vacant house on Valley Street. Pyle told police they had been looking for things to steal at the residence. Lemon had 0.5 grams of methamphetamine on his person when he was arrested at the jail. The C felony burglary charge against Pyle is still pending.
