Tyler Moody, Curtis Schmitz charged with shooting at, damaging, payloader
Tyler James Moody, 29, and Curtis Austin Griffey Schmitz, 25, are charged in district court in Minot with Class B felony criminal mischief for allegedly firing multiple shots with their .22 caliber rifles on May 31 at a Caterpillar payloader belonging to a sand and gravel company in Minot. The payloader was located in a gravel pit in the area of 303rd Avenue SW and 62nd Street SW. According to a probable cause affidavit filed with the court, the damage to the payloader was estimated at more than $30,000.
A preliminary hearing in the case is scheduled for Nov. 5 before Judge Gary Lee.
