Pipeline spill occurs near Mandaree
MANDAREE – About 1,000 barrels of produced water spilled from a pipeline operated by Enable Midstream Partners on Tuesday about nine and a half miles west of Mandaree.
There was no known impact to water currently, according to the North Dakota Department of Environmental Quality.
Produced water is produced as a byproduct during the extraction of oil and natural gas.
Personnel from that department have been on-site and are continuing to monitor the investigation and cleanup.
