Former Minot city manager hired in Minnesota
BEMIDJI, Minn. – Minot’s former city manager Tom Barry has been hired in Minnesota as Beltrami County administrator, according to the Bemidji Pioneer.
The board of commissioners unanimously approved an employment contract with Barry, who begins his new role in mid-November. Barry was one of five finalists for the job. Before coming to Minot in December 2016, Barry worked as the director of public works and utilities for Meridian, Idaho, for eight years. He served as the engineering and operations manager for the city of Redmond, Washington, for seven years and as the public works program administrator for the city of Bellevue, Washington, for two years.
The Minot City Council removed Barry in April following an investigation into allegations of a hostile work environment.
