Submitted Photo The first Robert Fix Disabled American Veterans Memorial Scholarship was awarded to Nicole Lenertz Bethke, center, on Oct. 8 by Commander Doug Benjamin, right, and Senior Adjutant Ron Garcia, left. The award is $500 per semester. It was presented at the local DAV Chapter #4’s regularly scheduled membership meeting held in the Ex-Servicemen’s Room in the Ward County Administration Building, Minot. Bethke is a student in the nursing program at Minot State University. This scholarship will be presented to a college student in the Ward County area on an annual basis.
