Aaron Michels, of Minot, teaches art at Des Lacs-Burlington High School in Des Lacs and owns Aaron Michels Photography.

He has degrees in photography and art education from Minot State University.

Michels was born in Mohall and has lived all over the United States.

He and his wife, Crystal, and their two children like to travel and have visited many national parks and monuments. Aaron and Crystal Michels are writing a book on the national parks and monuments called “Stop! I Want To Take A Picture.” They have visited almost all the national parks and monuments in western United States. They visited France, Ireland and the United Kingdom in 2019.

His work is displayed at Artspace Suite 1 Gallery in Minot and at his website aaronmichelsphotography.
