Temporary lane closures on Burdick Expressway start
Temporary lane closures on Burdick Expressway west of Sixth Street Southwest start today. Traffic is reduced to one lane each direction. The lane closure is expected to be in place through October and November.
This work is part of Phase MI-4A of the Mouse River Enhanced Flood Protection Project, which started construction at the end of August. The purpose of MI-4A is to relocate municipal utilities in advance of the flood protection features proposed as part of the Phase MI-4 Maple Diversion Project.
The driving public should use caution and pay attention as this work begins.
