Temporary lane closures will be in place at the intersection of Fourth Avenue Northwest and Broadway in Minot starting today. Contractors will close the southbound left driving lane and northbound left turning lane near the intersection of Fourth Avenue and Broadway to replace concrete panels in the roadway.

Traffic will be reduced to one lane each direction. The lane closure is expected to be in place into October.

The work on Broadway is part of the Phase MI-1 Fourth Avenue enhanced flood protection project, which includes a six-block stretch of levees, floodwalls, a new sanitary lift station and a major storm water pump station from just west of Broadway to the east side of Third Street Northeast. Construction on this phase is scheduled to be complete in late 2020.
