Darrell Jackson Jr., New Town, charged with driving drunk, fleeing police at high speeds, rolling vehicle

Darrell Raymond Jackson Jr., 29, New Town, is charged in district court in Stanley with driving drunk on Saturday, crashing into a pole, and then fleeing from police at a high rate of speed when Mountrail County paramedics were standing right next to the vehicle. Jackson drove at speeds approaching 100 mph and eventually lost control of the vehicle, which rolled over several times into a ditch and crashed into a fence. Jackson and his passenger, Marquel Lockwood, were treated at the scene of the crash. Jackson was cleared medically and then taken to the Mountrail County Jail.

Jackson is charged in district court in Stanley with Class C felony reckless endangerment, Class C felony fleeing a police officer and risking death or bodily injury, Class B misdemeanor DUI and Class B misdemeanor driving with a suspended driver’s license. Jackson was scheduled to make an initial appearance on Tuesday before Judge Stacy Louser.
